We collect your information for the safety of our guests. It also helps us understand to who we accommodating at our property for the safety of our staff. Website user and guest date/information can be used for analysis and statistical purposes. In order to streamline the booking process we need and collect our guests’ names, nationality, date of birth, emails and gender for analysis but also with the collection of credit card numbers to secure the reservation. In relation to bookings (whether individuals, couples, friends, family or groups), we send confirmation emails and this is why we need your email address. This is needed to further communicate such as unforeseen circumstances as bus cancellations or strike information. We will normally ask for your consent if you would like to receive newsletters, etc. via email. In certain circumstances we may need to contact previous guests in relation to lost property or post/deliveries that may have arrived for them.RESERVATION Information and Data collected.
In order for us to secure and confirm a reservation for you we will require the following:

In order to guarantee reservations via all channels (telephone, website or smartphone application, but not restricted to), we require a full 16 digit debit/credit card number, name on the card, card type (we accept VISA, Mastercard and AMEX), three digit security code and the expiry date.
Your debit/credit card details are only used to secure your booking and Hunch Backpackers Hostel will only debit the account if you do not follow our cancellation policy. Online or direct reservations can be cancelled at least 24 hours prior to arrival will not be charged. Different policies apply to ‘group bookings’ and ‘weekly student bookings’ – all are available direct. ‘No shows’ and ‘late cancellations’ will be charged the full amount of the first night and the remainder of the reservation will be cancelled. Equally, we retain customer card details for our group ‘Code of Conduct’ where a pre-authorization is required in the event of any damage to the rooms. This is communicated and agreed with the customer before arrival and on arrival in the form of our ‘Code of Conduct’ contract.
We at the Hunch Backpackers Hostel respect our guest’s privacy. We will not sell or disclose our guests personal information to any business, person or third party unless compelled to by the national security Officers, in the case of an emergency or if necessary as part of our duty of care.Keeping our DATA up to date
